Legendary network journalist Robert Hornblower enjoys great public respect; yet secretly he lords over his agent, has an affair with his producer, abuses his wife and threatens her gay confidant. When this hypocrisy is discovered by a tabloid cable personality, it appears that the television industry that created Hornblower is about to expose him and destroy him.
