Richard Warren has written thirteen plays which have been seen in New York City; Roanoke, Virginia; Key West, Florida; Moscow, Idaho; and Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, and Sedona, Arizona. PlayWrights Theatre’s production of HOW I CAME TO BE BUFFALO BILL was an ariZoni nominee - Best Production. Richard is a member of the Director's Council, School of Theatre and Film, Herberger College of Fine Arts, Arizona State University. He is also a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, the Chicago Dramatists Network and Theatre Artists Studio. Richard was a member of the board and the executive committee of Phoenix Theatre, and Resident Playwright and Founding Co-producer of its annual New Works Festival. He was also chairman of the City Stage Company of Boston and a board member of Boston's Playwrights' Platform. Richard was a 2004 Arizona Governor’s Arts Awards nominee – Individual Category, and a 2007 Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix's Arts Board Member Award nominee.
